To ask the Minister for the Arts what evidence he has of the outcome of premium book subscription schemes in(a) New Zealand and (b) West Germany.

[holding answer 26 May 1988]: I understand that the schemes operated in New Zealand and West Germany are not premium book subscription schemes of the kind proposed in my Green Paper.
