§ Mr. NichollsThe Government fully support the principle of equal pay for work of equal value. We monitor closely the working of the Equal Pay and Sex Discrimination Acts to see whether they are operating fairly and effectively. We shall continue to do this in the light of this important decision and of other test cases still before the courts.
