To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what proposals he has to reduce accidents at work.

Mr. Nicholls

The Health and Safety Commission and Executive currently have a number of initiatives under way to reduce the number of accidents at work. I expect the commission to submit proposals for the next three years to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State later this year.
