HL Deb 29 July 1988 vol 500 cc572-3WA
Lord Chelwood

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Why they did not give estimates broken down by counties of the number of non-woodland trees blown down and damaged in the October hurricane, based on their sample survey using air photographs as promised on 11th April, in reply to Lord Chelwood's question on 5th July (HL Debs, col. 242), and whether they will now do so.

The Earl of Caithness

It was not clear from my noble friend's Question on 5th July that he had particularly in mind non-woodland trees. Arrangements have now been made for publication of the results of the sample survey of such trees, and I shall send him a copy as soon as one is available.
