The following number of days were lost by members of the regular Royal Ulster Constabulary as a result of sickness and injury on duty for each of the last five years:
Days lost 1983 105,621 1984 127,492 1985 132,669 1986 148,307 1987 155,138 In 1986, these figures represented an average loss of 18.01 days per member, and in 1987 18.84 days per member.
