§ Mrs. BeckettTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the practice of public bodies for which he is responsible, other than the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, with regard to issuing to complainants, with an acknowledgement of their complaint, a printed card telling them not to write or phone to check on the progress of their complaint since this will slow its progress; and if he will make a statement.
