To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many planning applications have been approved during 1986 and 1987 in(a)the borough of Newtownabbey and (b)the borough of Antrim.

In Newtownabbey borough, 544 planning applications were approved in 1986, and 459 in 1987. The corresponding figures for Antrim borough were 466 and 363.
