To ask the Minister for the Arts if he will make a statement on the future of the museum education service in London following the abolition of the Inner London education authority.

§ Mr. Luce
On the abolition of the Inner London education authority, each inner London borough will become responsible for the education service in its area. 435W Boroughs, individually and jointly, are discussing with the ILEA and the Department of Education and Science a number of areas where cross-borough provision may continue to be appropriate.
