HC Deb 28 July 1988 vol 138 cc555-6W
6. Mr. Bellingham

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much inward investment has been attracted to the Province during his term of office; and if he is considering any further initiatives, similar to the Locate in Scotland initiative by the Scottish Office.

Mr. Tom King

Since I took office on 2 September 1985, 21 new projects, which are expected to create 1,330 jobs, have been finalised. The aggregate investment associated with those projects has been £47.15 million.

These investments reflect the hard work of the Northern Ireland Industrial Development Board and we have no current plans to alter the basis of its operation.
