To ask the Attorney-General what was the cost to public funds associated with the action by the Director of Public Prosecutions in taking over and subsequently discontinuing the private prosecution brought recently against the hon. Member for Edinburgh, Leith at Telford Crown court.

§ The Solicitor-General
The action taken by the Director of Public Prosecutions added less than £10 to the normal departmental running costs of the Crown Prosecution Service.
