§ Mr. Douglas HoggIn a series of regional surveys all Home Office staff, including prison officers, were recently invited to complete a questionnaire. A total of 0.6 per cent. of those in prison service unified grades VI to VIII who responded stated that they were of ethnic minority origin. A further questionnaire is being sent to all those who did not respond.
