Mr. Wray

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what proportion of the gross national product has been spent in nursery education in Scotland for each year since 1974;

(2) what was the total expenditure in nursery education in (a) Scotland, (b) Strathclyde, (c) Greater Glasgow and (d) Glasgow, Provan for each year since 1974, in 1988 moneys.
