§ Mr. Michael SpicerThe Health and Safety Executive's nuclear installations inspectorate gave consent to the CEGB on 12 July 1988 to start up reactor 1 at Bradwell nuclear power station in Essex. Reactor start up commenced on 14 July. Electricity has been delivered to the grid from 15 July.
