HC Deb 21 July 1988 vol 137 c810W
Sir Geoffrey Finsberg

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment on what date the Under-Secretary of State, the hon. Member for Broxbourne (Mrs. Roe), first wrote to the hon. Member for Hampstead and Highgate informing him that she was going to meet the leader of Camden borough council to discuss the council's performance in respect of the right to buy legislation; and for what date the meeting has been arranged.

Mrs. Roe

10 June and 25 July respectively.

Mr. John Marshall

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what information he has as to the frequency with which applications to buy council-owned houses in the Hendon, South constituency have been delayed due to the inability of Camden council to define the boundaries of such properties; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Roe

My hon. Friend has recently drawn attention to one such case; the council's monthly statistical returns to the Department do not include addresses or the reasons for particular applications being delayed.
