Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many places, whether stationary or mobile, were licensed for the sale of food and drink in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park together in 1960, in 1979, and now.

The Minister of State, Department of the Environment (The Earl of Caithness)

All the catering outlets in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are operated under one concession. Records are not available of the number of outlets in 1960. The numbers of approved outlets in 1979 and currently are one in Kensington Gardens and 12 in Hyde Park.
