HC Deb 12 July 1988 vol 137 c151W
26. Mr. John M. Taylor

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what will be the effect on the neighbouring health authorities of the coming into full operation of the intended new district general hospital in Solihull.

Mrs. Currie

The development of Solihull district general hospital at a cost of £23.2 million is part of the west midlands' long-term strategy for increasing the provision of health services in the growing population centres surrounding Birmingham. The population of Solihull and of neighbouring districts will all benefit. For detailed information my hon. Friend may care to write to the chairman of the West Midlands regional health authority.
