§ Mr. ChopeThe two sides of local government have been unable to agree the contribution level to be required for these purposes. My right hon. Friend has decided that all employees eligible to benefit under these proposals should pay the same percentage of their salary if they wish to take advantage of this extension of the scheme. Subject to the resolution of remaining points of detail, draft amending regulations giving effect to that decision will be issued for statutory consultations as soon as possible.
