There has been no significant overall change in the staffing arrangements since then.

On 20 and 21 June at a formal meeting of Transport Ministers. A major measure to liberalise international road haulage from 1993 was agreed. Other matters discussed were: shipping, including cabotage; road haulage drivers' hours; vehicle weights and dimensions; roadworthiness testing; taxation of goods vehicles; access to the occupations of road haulage and passenger transport operators; road haulage tariffs; the granting of aids to transport; rail transport; and inland waterways transport. Outside the Council meeting there was an informal discussion of air traffic control.
