§ Mr. MoynihanThe National Rivers Authority will inherit water authorities' statutory obligation to consider the advice of regional fisheries advisory committees, and will also have a statutory obligation to consider the advice of the new regional river advisory committees. Regional staff of the National Rivers Authority will be responsible to the authority itself.
§ Mr. BoyesTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has any intention of creating regional National Rivers Authority boards.
§ Mr. MoynihanAs the December policy statement made clear, the National Rivers Authority will have a strong regional management structure. No decisions have yet been taken about the internal management organisation of the National Rivers Authority.
