Mr. McAllion

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list for each local authority ward in the Dundee district council area the number unemployed at the latest available date; and what are the corresponding figures for each year since 1979.

Unemployment statistics on a local authority ward basis are available only from 1983. The following table shows the number of unemployed claimants in each local authority ward in city of Dundee district for December 1987 (the latest date for which information is available) and the corresponding figures in 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986.
