§ Mr. LuceThe objectives of the British Library's business information service are
(1) to contribute towards the building, monitoring and organising of an effective national reference collection of business literature; (2) to promote awareness of the information which resides within this collection, its potential value and effective methods for accessing it; (3) to provide specialist help to callers to the library who need to obtain business information; (4) to provide a free telephone inquiry for brief inquiries; (5) to offer, as a charged service, comprehensive and thoroughly researched answers to inquiries about markets, companies and products through access to the British Library's unique printed collections and utilising on-line databases
