HC Deb 21 January 1988 vol 125 c787W
Mr. Pike

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information he has regarding the non-availability of forms required for the registration of British citizenship in accordance with the British Nationality Act 1981; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Renton

We are satisfied that there were supplies available to meet reasonable demands for all the forms subject to the 31 December 1987 deadline for the ending of certain rights to register. There was a temporary shortage of forms which were not subject to time limits, but orders are now being met and the backlog cleared.

Mr. Baldry

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make available the income and expenditure account for the administration of citizenship applications for 1986–87.

Mr. Hurd

I have today placed in the Library of the House a copy of the nationality fees income and expenditure account for the 12 months ended 31 March 1987.
