HC Deb 14 January 1988 vol 125 c378W
Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate he has made of the effect of the closure of beds at Oswestry (Gobowen) orthopaedic hospital upon the expectations of patients in Clwyd for joint replacement operations; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Grist

I understand that the closures are temporary measures and as such consideration of their effects is for the health authorities concerned. Officials of the Welsh Office are, however, keeping in touch with both Clwyd and Shropshire health authorities.
