HC Deb 14 January 1988 vol 125 c378W
Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will take urgent steps to enable patients in Clwyd suffering from cancer to receive treatment in Clwyd; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Grist

The Welsh Office is already exploring with health authorities in Clwyd and Merseyside how treatment services for patients in Clwyd can be improved.

Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many patients suffering from cancer, living in Clwyd and Gwynedd, receive treatment in the Wirral; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

The information requested is not held centrally. The cancer treatment services at Clatterbridge hospital, Wirral, are the responsibility of the Mersey regional health authority to which the request for information should be directed.
