§ The Attorney-GeneralPapers submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service are subjected to independent review either by lawyers or in a limited range of cases by trained executive officers of the service as soon as possible after receipt. Prosecution decisions are taken in accordance with the code for Crown prosecutors.
