§ Mr. FraserTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many housing investment programme approvals have been given to Lambeth council in 1987–88 under the estates action programme; and how many he estimates will be given in the following year.
§ Mrs. RoeLambeth Council did not apply for estate action funding in 1987–88 but have submitted four outline bids for 1988–89. These are now being considered. We will tell Lambeth shortly which of these bids we should like them to work up more fully. Any approvals and additional allocations will follow as soon as the council can give us firm information on costs, phasing and other details of the schemes.
