HC Deb 26 February 1988 vol 128 c386W
Mr. Corbett

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the initial print order for the publication "Gun Sense is Good Sense"; when it was first printed and subsequently reprinted; and when he now proposes to make further supplies available to the public.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

Some 750,000 copies of the leaflet "Gun Sense is Good Sense" were printed as part of the campaign in 1983 against the misuse of air weapons. A further 50,000 copies were printed in both 1985 and 1986. A new leaflet to promote the safe use of air weapons was produced as part of the regional air weapon campaigns held at the end of 1986 in the West Midlands and Greater Manchester police force areas and we are evaluating what form future publicity material should take.
