§ 23. Mr. Jim MarshallTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he has any plans to expand the use of ACE schemes for community care initiatives; and if he will make a statement on proposed new ACE schemes in this field.
§ Mr. ViggersOn 13 December last I announced that an additional £10 million was being allocated to the ACE programme in 1988–89 and approximately 30 per cent. of this increase would be available to ACE sponsors who promote community health and social care projects. Consideration is currently being given to a number of proposals for the establishment of new ACE projects as well as the expansion of existing schemes in the community care field.
