HC Deb 24 February 1988 vol 128 c215W
Mr. Livsey

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many written objections he has received(a) against and (b) in favour of South Glamorgan county council's proposal to close Howardian high school in Cardiff.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

There were 370 individual letters, 35 petitions and 28 letters on behalf of organisations, registering statutory and non-statutory objections to South Glamorgan county council's proposal to introduce tertiary education in the east of Cardiff and to close Howardian high school. The vast majority of the objections related to the part of the proposals involving the closure of Howardian high school.
