§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe SHARPEN report — the "Scottish Health Authorities Review of Priorities for the Eighties and Nineties"—is a report by a working group set up by the Scottish Health Service Planning Council which is at present considering the recommendations made in it. The priorities for the NHS in Scotland remain those set out in the report "Scottish Health Authorities Priorities for the Eighties". With the very substantial resources made available to them—resources which have increased by about 28 per cent. in real terms since 1979–80—health boards in Scotland are expected to develop these priority services.
