§ Mr. Michael ForsythThis information is not held centrally. Since 1979 gross expenditure on the National Health Service in Scotland has grown by 28 per cent. in real terms. In addition, the planning figure for current expenditure on local authority social work services for 1988–89 is 36 per cent. greater in real terms than for 1979–80.
