HC Deb 24 February 1988 vol 128 c211W
Mr. Tony Banks

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science which new bodies he expects to set up under his proposal to abolish the Inner London education authority; and what he expects them to cost to operate in 1988–90.

Mr. Bob Dunn

[holding answer 18 February 1988]: My right hon. Friend has announced that he proposes to set up a staff commission to look after the interests of staff affected by the abolition of ILEA. The direct costs of the commission, which are not expected to be large, will be borne centrally.
