§ Mr. BoyesTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will supply details of(a) private sector and (b) Government funding for the Tyne and Wear development corporation for each year since its formation and the number of jobs created.
§ Mr. ChopeTyne and Wear development corporation has received £1.83 million in Exchequer grant-in-aid all in 1987–88. The corporation was established on 15 May 1987. It is too early to make accurate estimates of the private sector investment stimulated or the number of jobs created.
