To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information he has as to what needletime restrictions exist to limit the air play of recorded music on independent radio.

In general, independent local radio stations are limited to broadcasting nine hours of recorded music within the repertoire of Phonographic Performance Ltd. each day, even though most ILR stations now broadcast for 24 hours a day.
