To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will seek advice as to whether the pamphlet "Sex", published by the Terrence Higgins Trust and distributed by Wimbledon citizens advice bureau, contravenes the provisions of the Obscene Publications Act.

Whether the publication of a particular article contravenes the Obscene Publications Act 1959 is a matter which only a court can determine. It is not a matter on which my right hon. Friend has any authority to offer advice.
