To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what role the Enterprise and Deregulation Unit has played and is playing in the reviews of the export licensing system, the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and the burdens on business, including Sunday trading restrictions; and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Atkins
The EDU has played and continues to play its usual role of looking at issues in all areas of the Government's work, including those my hon. Friend raises, for ways in which unnecessary burdens on businesses can be removed or minimised.
