Mr. Renton

As is the normal practice, I wrote to the hon. Members for Leicester on 11 February notifying them and explaining the purpose of the visit by officials from the immigration and nationality department to Leicester on 16 February. The officials concerned are Mr. R. M. Morris; Mr. R. Fries; Mr. G. Treadwell; Mr. R. Weekes; and Mr. B. Leslie. Leicester county council was responsible for issuing invitations, but the meeting is open to the public. Similar visits have been made to Birmingham and Blackburn, and one to Haringey is also planned.
