To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give details of EEC grants and loans which have been allocated for projects in Angus, Scotland, in 1984, 1985 and 1986.

Mr. Lang

There is no record of any EEC loan for projects in Angus in the years specified and no information is available in the form requested for grants under the European social fund. Details of other grants awarded are set out in the table.

grants were assumed to be adjusted in line with such an index. The hon. Member will be aware that, for Session 1988–89, the main rates of student grant are to be increased broadly in line with inflation.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when the student financial support review will be completed.
