To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many mentally handicapped patients have been registered in the Salford heath authority area for each year from 1979 to 1987;

(2) if he will give the levels of staff, by National Health Service category, working with mentally handicapped patients in the Salford area for each year from 1979 to 1987.
