To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his policy with regard to tolls on the Erskine bridge.

The policy of successive Governments since 1973 has been to fix tolls at levels which, while having full regard to the economic needs of the areas served by the bridge, are likely to yield the best result in terms of revenue.
