§ Mr. SainsburyUp to the end of September 1987, 395 contracts had been awarded to 59 United Kingdom firms out of a total of 1,007 requests for quotation received from the seven major United States primes involved with the United States Trident II programme. The total value of these contracts is $78 million. Many of the contracts are for initial quantities for the full-scale engineering development phase, with the potential for follow-on production orders. It is not the practice to give details of individual contracts.
