§ Mr. CryerTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on Her Majesty's Government's evaluation of the adequacy of chapters 7 and 10 of the European treaty on ensuring oversight of nuclear materials and technology management within and without the EEC.
§ Mr. MellorWe are satisfied that chapters VII and X of the Euratom treaty adequately cater for the safeguarding of nuclear material both inside the Community and in trade between Community and third countries. These chapters do not address the question of technology management.
