To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what proposals he has on the provision of managed workshops.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

We have asked English Estates to establish a new programme for the provision of managed workspace, primarily in inner-city locations and with considerable private sector involvement. The level of the new programme has yet to be finalised, but it will be additional to the planned expenditure under the corporation's existing programme for the assisted areas.
