§ Mr. Bernie GrantTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what assessment he has made of the adequacy of provision in the National Health Service for the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis and of the suitability of the practice of same-day discharge of laparoscopy patients.
§ Mrs. CurrieSpecialist advice and treatment for endometriosis are available in gynaecology departments in all health authorities. Following laparoscopy, patients are discharged when assessed as fit for discharge by their gynaecologist.
