§ Mr. Austin MitchellTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, pursuant to the reply of 25 January,Official Report, columns 82–84, concerning the Government's borrowing requirements, he will publish in the Official Report particulars of the difference between Government revenues and disbursements for (a) central Government, (b) local government and (c) other public bodies in the current financial year, excluding borrowing.
§ Mr. Lilley[holding answer 9 February 1988]: The difference between the Government's receipts and expenditure is their borrowing requirement. Details of the borrowing requirements of central Government, the local authorities and the public corporations are published in "Financial Statistics", tables 3.4, 4.4 and 5.4 respectively.
