§ Mr. ScottThe average income from investment of a pensioner household(a) decreased in real terms by 16 per cent. between 1974 and 1979, an average of 3.4 per cent. a year; and (b) increased in real terms by 53 per cent. between 1979 and 1985, an average of 7.3 per cent. a year.
