§ Mr. BowisTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make representations to the Soviet Government about Mr. Boris Chernobilsky and his family, of Profsoyuznaya 119, Moscow, who are seeking exit visas to enable them to leave the Soviet Union.
§ Mr. MellorMy right hon. and learned Friend last raised the issue of Soviet citizens awaiting permission to emigrate with the Soviet Foreign Minister at Brize Norton on 7 December, when he handed over a list of cases about which we had received representations, including that of Mr. Boris Chernobilsky and his family. My right hon. and learned Friend expects to press for rapid progress again when he visits the Soviet Union from 14–17 February.
