§ Mr. Campbell-SavoursTo ask the Attorney-General if he will specify the precise considerations which led him to inform the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland about the nature of the public interest in relation to the possible prosecutions of Superintendent Thomas George Anderson, Superintendent Samuel George Flanagan and Chief Superintendent Desmond Brown for seeking to pervert the course of justice in respect of the alleged suppression of information on an unlawful killing; and if he will make a statement.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI refer the hon. Member to the full statement which I made to the House on 27 January 1988. I have nothing to add to it either generally or with particular reference to the considerations of public interest (and in particular considerations of national security) which were taken into account, or as to the identity of any person whose conduct was the subject of investigation.
