HC Deb 05 February 1988 vol 126 c771W
Mr. Campbell-Savours

To ask the Attorney-General (1) whether tapes in connection with the killing of Michael Tighe at Ballynerry Road North, Lurgon, are still in existence; and if he will make a statement;

(2) whether (a) the tape made by the security forces and (b) a transcript of the tape were made available to Mr. Colin Sampson before his final report was made to the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland in respect of the killing of Micheel Tighe; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

As is the usual practice with police reports covering criminal investigations, neither the report by Mr. John Stalker nor the report by Mr. Colin Sampson will be published. Accordingly I do not intend to make any statement on detailed matters of evidence.
