§ Mr. YeoTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many more jobs have been created since 1983.
§ Mr. LeeThere are no figures for job gains and job losses. Between March 1983 and September 1987, the latest date for which figures are available, there was a net increase of 1,449,000 in the size of the employed labour force in Great Britain. The figure has been adjusted for the effects of seasonal variations. The employed labour force is the sum of employees in employment, the self employed and Her Majesty's forces.
